Fewer than a handful of these 1887 Boston scorecards have previously reached auction, each of which carried Old Judge advertising and sold for between $1,400 and $1,700. This particular example likewise features the great King Kelly and boasts a beautiful, bright lithographic cover image (captioned "Where Is It?"). The advertising here is for a Boston sweet shop. Based on the Beaneaters' 17-run tally, it would appear that the pencil scoring is for their win over the Quakers on May 10th. Measures 8-3/4 x 7-1/4" (when opened) and rates VG-EX.
