On the heels of the Tribe's AL pennant in '54, GM Hank Greenberg and Manager Al Lopez brought in their old pal Ralph Kiner to add some power to the lineup. Longstanding back troubles limited Kiner's play to 113 games, though he still belted 18 homers. By season's end, at the tender age of 32, Kiner hung up his spikes for good. This medium-toned, shellacked unofficial ball features signatures averaging "7-9" of Doby, Feller Lemon, Wynn, Kiner, Lopez, Avila, Foiles, Houtteman, Harder, Locklin, Narleski, Rosen, Woodling, Dente, Mossi, Score, Fain, Evers, Young, Naragon, Kuhn, Lobe, Strickland, Wertz, Smith, Mitchell, Garcia, one other. Auction LOA from JSA.
