The first female country music star to headline her own show and receive top billing over the men with whom she toured, Patsy Cline had overcome rheumatic fever and a devastating car wreck before tragically passing in an airplane crash less than 90 miles from her Nashville destination. Far too young at the tender age of 30, Cline (d.1963) left behind timeless music, a lasting legacy and this bold autograph. On a vintage album page measuring 5-/8 x 4-5/8”, Cline has inscribed (in blue ballpoint): “To Joyce: Many Thanks – To a Wonderful Friend of Mine – Yours (signed) Patsy Cline.” The pen pressure and beautiful penmanship combine to project (“9-10”) potency. On the reverse, fellow Grand Ole Opry star Jimmy Dickens has signed in blue ballpoint (“10” strength) and inscribed “Best Wishes – To Joyce.” Also included is an 8x10" black-and-white promotional photo of Cline. Accompanying is a full photo LOA from JSA.
