Doomed by her surroundings in her portrayal of Jennifer North in the cult classic “Valley of the Dolls,” promising young actress Sharon Tate met an eerily similar fate in real life, stabbed to death (along with her unborn baby) by the Manson family in 1969. This 14x11” matted display showcases Tate’s bold autograph. In black ballpoint on a 4-1/4 x 3-1/4” (visible image area) sheet with typewritten identifiers of “Sharon Tate 3/24/67,” Tate has inscribed “to Edward – Best Wishes” and signed “Sharon Tate,” One of few survivors, Tate’s scripting shows (“9-10”) strength and clarity. Accenting the display is an 8x10” black-and-white studio photo of the promising and stunning starlet. Full photo LOA from JSA.
