Bridging the gap from silent films to side-splitting slapstick “talkies,” comedic pioneers Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy are the subjects and endorsers of this display. Matted to 11-7/8 x 15-3/4”, a 6-1/4 x 5-1/8” vintage album page is autographed in black-ink steel tip fountain pen. From top to bottom, each signature is accented by a paraph. Includes: Stan Laurel (d.1965, “9” strength); Oliver Hardy (d.1957, “8-9” strength). A third signature (unknown) includes a handwritten notation of “1947.” Accenting the display is a lobby card print from Laurel & Hardy’s 1932 production of “Pack Up Your Troubles.” Full photo LOA from JSA.
