Description

Gold bugs satisfy your itch with this 1882-S Liberty Head $20 gold coin. This better date "Double Eagle" gold piece was struck at the San Francisco Mint in an original quantity of 1,125,000 pieces. It is estimated that 6,500 of these coins survive, with approximately 900 in "mint state". This slim number of uncirculated examples leads to high demand for specimens rated MS60 or better. The offered coin certainly fits the bill, with a PCGS assigned grade of MS61. This certified beauty dazzles with brilliant luster and strong details front and back and comes housed in a deluxe wood case with an engraved brass title plate, making for excellent presentation.
