U2 was virtually unknown in early 1981 when Electric Factory Concerts brought them to the intimate, short-lived venue known as the Bijou—which had previously helped launch the careers of Billy Joel, Bette Midler, Linda Ronstadt and George Thorogood. Just a few years later, U2 would electrify the rock world with their epic performance at Live Aid.
This signed guitar hails from none other than the famed Zoo TV tour—a cutting-edge, multimedia extravaganza considered by some to be the most spectacular tour of all time. U2 played two sold-out shows at Veterans Stadium in early September of 1992, featuring new tracks from Achtung Baby and classic hits like "Sunday Bloody Sunday." There are turquoise-Sharpie "8"-strength signatures of Bono ("92 YAHOO"), The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen. The guitar is missing one string.
Please Note: Every single autograph in the Larry Magid Collection was obtained first-hand by Magid during personal, concert-related interactions with the legendary musicians themselves. Every single autograph comes with Larry’s signed LOA attesting to its authenticity, as well as a Full LOA from JSA. Each signed guitar is in unplayed NM condition and comes in a zipper guitar case.
