Winning their first championship under Vince Lombardi, the 1961 Green Bay Packers blanked the New York Giants, 37-0 in the first title game shutout since 1948. Issued at New City Stadium that day, this program is autographed by (11) of the game’s participants. The 52-page guide remains crisp and complete, with no compacting folds normally found on stadium-issued publications of this era. There a minor separation along the lower portion of the spine and the center (roster) page is detached, but complete and present. On the front cover, black marker signatures project (“9”) or better strength throughout. Includes: Ben Davidson (inscribed “#72”), Boyd Dowler (inscribed “86”), Jerry Kramer (inscribed “#64”), Max McGee, Jim Ringo (inscribed “51”), Bob Skoronski (inscribed “#76”), Bart Starr (inscribed “15”), Y.A. Tittle (inscribed “H.O.F. 1971”), Fuzzy Thurston (inscribed “63”) and Willie Wood (inscribed “#24 – HOF 89”). On page 15, Paul Hornung has signed in blue ballpoint ("10" strength) and inscribed "5." Hornung, on leave from the U.S.Army, scored a touchdown, kicked three field goals and four extra points to earn MVP plaudits that day. Auction LOA from JSA.
