Enjoy a "Beantown" bash with this Jimmie Foxx signed program cover. In 1939 the Boston Chapter of the BBWAA threw a party to honor the finest athletes starring on hometown teams. Chief among these Boston stalwarts was old "Double X" himself, who won his third MVP award for a tremendous 1938 season. Foxx has signed the offered program from the event at the four o'clock position of the 8" diameter disc. Decorated with the classic artwork of Gene Mack, this program covers shows extensive wear, but remains solid and appealing.
Foxx's pencil autograph shows determined ("5-6") potency in area under his collar that is affected by moderate staining. Despite this condition, his prized signature is clearly recognizable, with the surname being more pronounced that the given name. Printed on heavy stock, the decorative disc bear a vertical fold crease at center, several pinholes at scattered points on the perimeter and some minor surface loss at nine o'clock. Nicely suited for framed display with entertaining artwork, this important HOFer autograph hit the block at a very reasonable starting point. Comes with both JSA and PSA/DNA full photo LOAs.
