Looking at the rosters of the 1934 MLB All-Star Game will have baseball historians scratching their heads over whether or not any other such contest included so many Hall of Fame greats. Of the starting nines for the AL and NL, the only one not inducted is Wally Berger. Top that off with eleven reserves who also got the call to the Hall and total twenty-eight men with plaques in Cooperstown. This clash of titans is best remembered for "King Carl" Hubbell's powerful pitching performance, when he struck out Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons and Joe Cronin in succession. Of course with names like that in the lineup, the AL went on to recover and win the high scoring contest 9-7.

Just the second edition from the "Mid-Summer Classic", this sophomore scorecard rates highly in the ASG program pecking order. The spine is partially split and there is a vertical fold at center, but the covers remain pleasing with vivid graphics and while the centerfold is detached, the program is complete. Also noted is heavy soiling on the scoring grid, however despite this condition the printed names of the illustrious participants are still legible.
