Minted in a relatively small quantity of 58,000 pieces, this seriously tough coin from the New Orleans Mint falls into the "Extremely Rare" tier, with a rarity rating of 8.1 based on a survival estimate of 90 pieces. Typical of this date/mintmark, this attractive example shows nice strike details with the reverse a bit better than the obverse. Graced with pleasing luster, this coin presents decent hair curl detail and star radial line definition on all but two of the stars on the obverse, while the reverse displays good separation on all major details, with decent shield lines and eagle feathers, for a rating of (VF+/XF).
