If Fritz Pollard ever gets his due, then the value of his seldom-seen signature will exponentially increase. Pollard is the man whose football legacy most closely matches that of Jackie Robinson in baseball. A trailblazer and barrier-breaker, he was one of the first two black NFL players (1919) and the first black NFL head coach (1921). A bestselling book and blockbuster movie would give Fritz Pollard the fame he deserves.

Seven years ago, we sold a Pollard signed index card for over $4,000, and the document on offer here is easily superior. Not only because it's official family-related paperwork, but also because it contains the desirable full signature style, "Frederick (Fritz) D. Pollard Sr." Pollard's script rates "9" and the 8 x 10-1/2" form is EX with light filing wear and two fold lines (one of which crosses the signature). Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
