These sure were simpler times. An Indiana resident dispatched this letter to Goose Goslin's address on the East Coast just asking permission to, in a future package, send the future Hall of Famer a blank baseball to sign and return. All so that it could be displayed at "our big Sports & Hobby Show here." Goslin obliged, and his blue-ink handwriting rates "8-9" strength. The 8-1/2 x 11" letter bears multiple mailing folds, otherwise EX. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
