Description



Examine the evidence of Exhibit card display appeal with this attractive group of header boards. Fashioned to attract attention at point of sale locations, vending machine toppers such as these prompted generations of patrons to drop their coins into the slot and get something that’s really hot, to paraphrase the great Chuck Berry. Featured is a lot of (6) non-sport trading card displays, with (5) Exhibit vending machine headers and (1) Nu Card Singers poster. Generally pleasing across the board, these vintage promoters showcase a variety of movie cowboys, pop singers and lovely ladies in their glorious natural form.

3.) Exhibit Western Star 12-1/2 x 8-1/2” panel with 1-cent price and (4) c.1950s glossy paper cards with Ken Maynard, Tom Tyler and 4-in-1s with Danny Thomas and George Montgomery, cards present VG-EX to EX, panel presents VG-EX

 

4.) Exhibit Western Star 12-1/2 x 8-1/4” panel with 1-cent price and (3) c.1940s glossy paper cards with Rufe Davis, Bob Nolan and Lane Chandler, cards present EX-MT, panel presents EX+

 

5.) Exhibit Nude Women 12-1/2 x 8” panel with 1-cent price and (2) c.1920s nude women postcards, obviously a fantasy piece as one card is a fairly famous “J A Paris” shot and no way they were displaying something like this in a store, cards present EX, panel presents VG-EX

 

6.) 1959 Nu Card Singers 15-3/4 x 14-1/2” poster with 10-cent price for pack of five, titled at top as “TV Trading Cards, 64 Assorted Popular Recording Artists”, pictured are Perry Como, Doris Day, Ricky Nelson, The McGuire Sisters, Dinah Shore, Pat Boone, Rosemary Clooney, Tommy Sands (VG) with several small splits along original period folds
