Six-point underdogs despite their home field advantage, the Los Angeles Rams won the 1951 NFL title with a 24-17 triumph before a then-record gathering of 59,475 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Issued at that grand edifice that day, this gameday program is autographed by (21) of the game’s participants. The 20-page guide presents nicely with covers and all pages intact. There are no compacting folds, which are quite common to stadium-issued publications from this era. On the front cover, blue ballpoint pennings average (“8”) quality and include: Bob Boyd, Bob Collier, Tom Dahms, Glenn Davis, Bob Gaudio, Jack Halliday, Vitamin Smith, Mac Speedie, Harry Thompson, Tommy Thompson and Norm Van Brocklin.

On the inside front (title) page, blue ballpoint signatures average (“9”) strength and include: Lou Groza, Jim Hardy (1946-1948 Rams player), Crazy Legs Hirsch, Don Paul, Herb Rich, Lou Rymkus, Dom Simensen, Dan Towler and Jack Zilly.

The Rams team photo page (6) is signed in blue ballpoint by Tom Fears (“9” strength).
