Description

Short of a World Series appearance, there’s nothing that Ernie Banks didn’t give to the fans in his capacities as both a Hall of Fame player and ambassador to the National Pastime. These (3) items are autographed by the North Side hero. Includes:

Signed 1969 Chicago Cubs Home Jersey: tailored by Mitchell & Ness to the specifications of the garments worn by Banks during the ill-fated 1969 season, this size “L” flannel button-down garment features a blue pinstripe pattern, twill logo identifiers and a satin twill “14” on the back. On the left front, Banks has signed in black marker (“5-6” strength) and inscribed “Mr Cub – HOF 77.”

Signed Baseball: a clean white OML ball (grade “9”) signed on the sweet spot in blue ballpoint (“8-9” strength) and inscribed (on the south panel) “Mr Cub 2013.”

Signed Baseball Glove: a right-handed “Wilson” fielder’s glove (unused) signed on the back portion of the middle finger in black marker (“6-7” strength) and inscribed “Mr Cub.”
