As baseball's winningest franchise, the New York Yankees have had plenty of opportunity to issue World Series programs. Evidence of their frequent postseason participation arrives with this collection of (9) publications dating from 1937-1957, when legends Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford and so many other Yankees greats had a hand in creating a glorious tradition of winning. On an interesting historic note, all but one of the (8) WS programs included in this group came from matchups against crosstown rivals, with (6) vs the Brooklyn Dodgers and (1) vs the New York Giants. Featured are:

(8) World Series Programs with: 1937 vs Giants (GD) with deference to the absence of the centerfold leaf; 1941 vs Dodgers (VG); 1947 vs Dodgers presents VG detail with deference to tape repair on spine; 1952 vs Dodgers presents EX+ detail with deference to 80% spine split; 1953 "Golden Anniversary World Series" vs Dodgers (EX); 1955 vs Dodgers (VG-EX) after many meetings between these two illustrious teams, the Dodgers finally won their first championship in this series; 1956 vs Dodgers shows EX detail with deference to 1/2 x 1" bit of surface loss at the bottom right corner of the front cover, Yankees got revenge on the Dodgers for the previous season's loss, with the high point coming in Game 5 when hurler Don Larsen turned in a perfect game; 1957 vs Braves (EX-MT) very solid with great cover graphics
