In full stride during their first-ever NBA season, the 1949-50 Syracuse Nationals posted a league-best 51-13 mark before succumbing to the Minneapolis Lakers in the NBA Finals. Among the rarest souvenirs from the league’s formative years, this team photograph is autographed by (12) members of that inaugural Syracuse Nationals roster! Measuring 10x8”, the vintage black-and-white print is signed in black ink. Signatures average (“7-8”) quality and include: Biasone (owner), Cervi, Chollet, Corley, Gabor, Hannum, Levane, Macknowsky, Peterson, Ratkovicz, Schayes and Seymour. With much of its original gloss intact, the photo presents wonderfully. There is a small tear along the left edge (which does not affect any of the autographs), as well as peripheral creases throughout. Comes with a full photo COA from SGC.
Also included is a March 22, 1951 NBA Playoff program from Game 2 of the Nationals vs. Philadelphia Warriors series at the War Memorial. The 32-page guide presents nicely with no compacting folds. Covers and pages remain completely intact.
