Description

Dress up your collection with this rare 1961 Chemstrand shirt with tag and patch in factory bag. Though far from plentiful, you can find examples of the baseball player patches. You may even find the bag picturing nine period baseballs stars. What makes this offering exceedingly rare, is that it's comprised of a complete ensemble, with a red boy's size "5" collared shirt with tags attached, an Al Kaline patch in original cellophane wrapper with printed instructions, and the original factory bag.

Touted on the front of the bag as "100% Acrilan", the still vibrant shirt presents as like new, with the size label firmly attached inside the collar. Affixed to the upper of two buttons, is a cardboard Chemstrand tag in crisp, clean condition, with a couple of light creases that are fairly unobtrusive. Clipped to the collar, is a smaller tag written with the size "5", and the price "1.98". The bag shows light to moderate wear, but retains impressive integrity, and features photos of Yogi Berra, Al Kaline, Willie Mays, Nellie Fox, Harmon Killebrew, Frank Malzone, Dick Groat, Ernie Banks, and Warren Spahn. Though wrinkled, the Kaline iron-on photo patch remains very appealing.
